Dietrich Schuchardt - From My Garden
A series of six images created 2004-2005.
For each images the artist has created:
  • one gouache painting on board
  • one mixed media drawing (pencil/watercolor/chalk/gouache) on paper or vellum
  • one pencil drawing on vellum with gouache remarques (definitive study for the etching plate)
  • limited edition of XX original etchings printed in black
  • limited edition of 50 original etchings hand-painted in watercolors with gouache remarques

  6 portfolios numbered 1/50 to 6/50
each containing one suite of six etchings hand-
painted in watercolors with remarques in gouache,
an additional suite of the six etchings printed
in black, and one of the six definitive studies
for the etching plates executed in pencil on
vellum with gouache remarques.

14 portfolios numbered 7/50 to 20/50
each containing one suite of six etchings hand-
painted in watercolors with remarques in gouache
and an additional suite of the six etchings
printed in black.

30 portfolios numbered 21/50 to 50/50
each containing one suite of six etchings hand-
painted in watercolors with remarques in gouache.

Each etching is signed, titled, and numbered in pencil
by the artist. The 6 etching plates were hand engraved
by the artist in Offenburg, Germany. The etchings were
